MILAN, NM – We are please to announce that the case of Billy Roberts, who was initially charged with first-degree murder for the death of Viviana Galido, has been settled with a plea agreement to involuntary manslaughter. Roberts will also serve a nine-month custodial sentence which is part of the resolution.
The Milan Police Department officers reported to a call on August 24, 2023, which was placed by Billy Roberts himself. Roberts also confessed to the killing of Viviana Galido at the time. Following his arrest by die policy officers, Roberts faced a severe charge of first-degree murder (willful and deliberate), which carries significant legal consequences. But the charges were later reduced to involuntary manslaughter once Roberts entered a plea agreement. This plea agreement was finalized on April 24, 2024.
